It was founded on April 12, 2001 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico by José Rodríguez (may he rest in peace), and is now led by his son, Héctor Rodríguez.

With the main goal of promoting Mexican music and showcasing the versatility of mariachi music, which allows it to perform almost any type of music.

Over time, Mariachi Jalisco has become recognized for its powerful vocals, traditional Mexican music, and pop music arrangements, including some of its own original compositions.

We have also been blessed with the opportunity to travel abroad and participate in mariachi festivals in New York City, San Diego, Oxnard, California, and throughout the Republic of Mexico.

Most importantly, the group is recognized for its discipline, integrity, and excellent musical taste, always maintaining the utmost respect for Mexican music, which is our tradition.

To speak of Mariachi Jalisco is to speak of Mexico, and to speak of musical excellence from the very beginning. Its founders have always maintained the highest professional standards, paying meticulous attention to every musical and performance detail. The very name "Mariachi Jalisco" signifies that they represent Jalisco, and Jalisco represents Mexico. Their musical journey has taken them to the best venues in Mexico and the United States, establishing them as an iconic and outstanding group, renowned for both their innovative arrangements of modern mariachi music and their adherence to the traditional style.
